Privacy Notice, Application Terms and Legal Notice for New Altitude Ventures S.r.l. and the application process operated by Pronto Ventures S.r.l.

Application and Website Privacy Notice

Effective date: 28 October 2026

Who controls your personal data

New Altitude Ventures S.r.l. (“New Altitude”, “we” or “us”), registered office Corso Re Umberto 7, 10121 Torino (TO), Italy, VAT/Tax Code 13531190018, email privacy@newaltitude.com, is the controller for personal data collected through www.new-altitude.com and the startup application and investment-selection process.

Pronto Ventures role

Pronto Ventures S.r.l. (“Pronto”), registered office Corso Castelfidardo 22, 10129 Torino (TO), Italy, VAT/Tax Code 13401250017, email privacy@prontoventures.vc, operates the application process as New Altitude’s service provider and data processor. On New Altitude’s documented instructions, Pronto manages the portal and files, communicates with founders, conducts discussions, analyses applications, prepares investment memos and recommendations and invites selected founders to further stages. New Altitude determines the purposes of processing and makes the final investment decision.

The application form is accessed through this website. The Airtable account used for application and CRM processing is owned and administered by Pronto for this purpose. This does not change New Altitude’s responsibility as controller for the application process.

Personal data and sources

Depending on your submission and subsequent assessment, we process identity, contact, role and professional-background information about founders, team members and company representatives; business information relating to identifiable people, including ownership, cap tables, funding and financial information; application answers, pitch decks, documents and links; any requested application video, including image, voice and presentation content; emails, call notes, interview notes, transcripts and summaries where used, updates, internal assessments, investment memos and recommendations; and technical data required to operate and secure the website and form, such as IP addresses, timestamps, session information, security logs and technical-cookie data.

Data comes from applicants and their representatives, subsequent discussions and correspondence, and proportionate due diligence using public company registers, professional profiles, company websites or references. Where another person supplies your information, it may include your contact, role, professional background, ownership interests and information relevant to the team assessment. Application videos are not used for biometric identification.

Do not submit health information, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade-union information, sexual-orientation data, criminal-record information or other sensitive personal data unless specifically requested with an appropriate legal basis. Do not submit unnecessary third-party personal data or confidential information you are not authorised to disclose.

Purposes and legal bases

Receiving, managing and responding to applications and providing next-step communications: steps requested before a potential investment agreement under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where applicable, and New Altitude’s legitimate interests in operating an investment-application process under Article 6(1)(f).

Evaluating startups and teams, conducting proportionate due diligence, preparing recommendations and deciding whether to pursue an investment: legitimate interests in identifying and assessing investment opportunities under Article 6(1)(f).

Operating and protecting the website and portal, preventing misuse, maintaining governance records and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims: legitimate interests in security, governance and legal protection under Article 6(1)(f), and applicable legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c).

Application processing is not based on GDPR consent. Required fields are marked in the form; without necessary information we cannot assess an application. Application and next-step emails from Pronto are operational communications, not newsletter marketing. Submitting an application does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Recipients and technology providers

Access is limited to the information necessary for the relevant role. Data may be disclosed to authorised Pronto personnel; New Altitude personnel and relevant investment-committee members; designated representatives of New Altitude’s three investment partners/LPs participating in investment review and governance; necessary advisers, external mentors and subject-matter experts involved in evaluation or due diligence, subject to confidentiality and access restrictions; contracted technology providers; lawyers, accountants, auditors and other professional advisers; and courts, regulators, authorities or transaction parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary for a potential investment and appropriately protected.

The current technology environment includes Aruba.it for New Altitude website hosting; Airtable for application forms, files and CRM; Google Workspace for Pronto’s application email and calendar communications; and ChatGPT, Claude and Granola for AI-assisted analysis, internal drafting and meeting transcription or summaries where used. Appropriate contractual arrangements and access limitations apply to processing on our behalf.

AI assistance and human decisions

Pronto may use AI tools to summarise information, assist analysis and prepare draft internal assessments or investment memos. Granola may be used for meeting transcription and summaries; participants are informed before transcription begins. Relevant inputs and outputs can contain the personal data described above. AI outputs are reviewed by authorised people. All decisions about progression, rejection and investment are made by people; the process does not use solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on an individual.

International transfers

Our personnel and external application reviewers currently access data from within the EEA. Technology providers and their subprocessors may nevertheless process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Airtable ordinarily stores data in the United States unless an applicable alternative data-residency arrangement has been implemented. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we use a valid mechanism such as an applicable adequacy decision or European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, with supplementary safeguards where required. Information about the relevant safeguards and how to obtain a copy may be requested at privacy@newaltitude.com.

Retention

Unsuccessful or withdrawn applications, including videos, submitted documents and related internal assessments: normally 24 months after final decision or withdrawal, unless a shorter period is appropriate or longer retention is necessary for a legal claim or obligation. This period also applies when the records are held in Airtable or other application systems. New updates are reviewed for their relevance and necessary retention; they do not automatically justify indefinite retention of the original file.

Successful applications: relevant materials are retained during the investment relationship and afterwards for statutory periods required for corporate, accounting, regulatory and legal-claims purposes. Intake copies no longer needed are deleted. Website security logs are normally retained for no longer than 12 months unless an incident requires longer retention. Meeting transcripts and AI working copies are deleted when no longer needed for their purpose and are not automatically kept for the full application period.

Your rights

Subject to applicable legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where any processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Contact New Altitude at privacy@newaltitude.com. Pronto can receive application-processing queries at privacy@prontoventures.vc and assist New Altitude in responding. We normally respond within one month; lawful extensions and proportionate identity checks may apply. You may complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, at https://www.garanteprivacy.it, or another competent supervisory authority.

Security

New Altitude and Pronto apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, including access restrictions, confidentiality obligations, secure transmission and storage and procedures for security incidents. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Technical cookies

The website and application form use only technical cookies and comparable technologies necessary to deliver and secure the service, maintain sessions and remember user choices. These do not require consent. We do not use advertising, profiling or non-essential analytics technologies. If that changes, we will update this notice and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before enabling them. Browser settings can manage stored cookies; restricting necessary technologies may affect functionality.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice when our processing or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date are published on the website. Questions may be sent to privacy@newaltitude.com.

Confidentiality

New Altitude limits non-public application materials to recipients needed for evaluation, governance, due diligence and professional advice and requires appropriate confidentiality protections. These terms do not create a separate non-disclosure agreement and do not restrict the use of information that is public, already lawfully known or independently developed.

New Altitude may seek additional information, discontinue review or reject an application at its discretion. Any investment is subject to due diligence, internal approvals, available capital and definitive written agreements.
